Thanawat is considered one of snooker’s most promising Asian players and hopes to follow in the footsteps of Thai legend James Wattana.
In 2011 he won the IBSF World Under-21 Championship. He beat Noppon Saengkham 9-3 in the final in Canada.
And he wrote his name into snooker’s record books by becoming the youngest player ever to make an offical maximum break, at the age of 16 years and 312 days. His 147 came during a Euro Players Tour Championship 3 match against Barry Hawkins.
He was relegated from the pro tour at the end of the 2015/16 season.
