  • The Swiss star star went on a tremendous run to the semi-finals of the 2017 English Open. That included a win over 2005 World Champion Shaun Murphy. He was eventually defeated by Kyren Wilson
  • Ursenbacher dropped off the pro tour at the end of the 2014/15 season, but regained his card in 2017 by virtue of winning the European Under-21 title, beating Jackson Page 6-4 in the final.
  • And the Swiss cueman went on to reach the last 32 of a ranking event for the first time in his career at the 2017 Kaspersky Riga Masters.
  • He became snooker’s only Swiss professional by coming through Q School in 2013. He played superbly throughout event two, losing just one frame in four matches and scoring a top break of 140. He beat nine-time Ladies World Champion Reanne Evans 4-1, then in the final round he saw off experienced former pro Paul Wykes 4-0.
