Neil Robertson
Neil Robertson has expressed his disappointment after being forced to withdraw from the Rotterdam Open due to illness.

The world number one was due to compete in the European Tour event in The Netherlands this week, but after suffering from a virus at the recent Australian Goldfields Open, he decided to pull out of the event.

"I'm gutted because I was really looking forward to playing in Rotterdam," said Robertson. "I need to spend a few days resting in Australia to get back to 100 per cent before travelling, so I couldn't make the trip to Europe.

"I'm sorry to disappoint the Dutch fans who wanted to see me play. Hopefully I'll have the chance to play in The Netherlands next year."

The tournament at the Topsport Centrum runs from Friday to Sunday and will feature stars including John Higgins, Judd Trump, Mark Selby, Shaun Murphy and Luca Brecel.
