World No 1 John Higgins will play Ali Carter in the semi-finals of the China Life-Xingpai Hainan Classic 2011 in Boao, Hainan, while Jamie Cope will take on Graeme Dott.
Higgins, Cope and Dott all won three out of three matches in the group stages while Carter won Group C. Carter, Tian Pengfei and Shaun Murphy all won two matches and had the same frame difference, but Carter went through as he had the highest break - his 88 beating Murphy's 67 and Tian's 52.
Higgins and Carter go head to head at 2pm (local time) on Saturday, with Cope and Dott playing at 7pm.
