The Academy, housed at the English Institute of Sport - Sheffield, is home to elite professional players such as Peter Ebdon, Ding Junhui, Liang Wenbo and Liu Chuang, all of whom will be in action in the final stages of the 888.com World Snooker Championship next month.
Liang (pictured) said: "The Academy is the best snooker facility in the world. It has helped me to qualify for the Crucible for the first time and to reach the top 48 of the world rankings for next season. The conditions are first class and there are plenty of good quality players to practise with."

The Schools are a unique experience for young aspiring snooker players of all standards, aged 17 and under. From technical coaching on the table to nutritional advice and a psychological insight off it, the five-day course covers every aspect of snooker.
Players receive daily tuition from a top world snooker accredited coach to aid improvement in technical ability and match play.  This involves group sessions with all students as well as individual one on one coaching to offer more personal advice to every player.
There is a tournament held at the end of the week to give students the opportunity to apply new techniques they have learned over the week.  The tournament is handicapped by the coach to give all standards a fair chance, with a prize going to the winner.
All students receive a certificate for completing the course.
The cost of the course is £400 including breakfast, lunch and dinner, or £500 including accommodation.
