Murphy Makes 147 In Gdynia

Shaun Murphy made his second 147 in as many months with a superb maximum at the Gdynia Open in Poland.

Murphy’s break came in the sixth and final frame of a 4-2 win over Jamie Jones in the last 16.

It’s the 104th maximum in snooker history – and the former World and UK Champion also made the 103rd, at the Championship League in January. Murphy has now made three 147s – his first came in 2001.

Murphy earns £500 from the rolling 147 bonus pot for European Tour events, as Judd Trump made one at the previous event in Antwerp.

The Worsley-based cueman meets Stephen Maguire in the quarter-finals.
