World Snooker Chairman Barry Hearn and six-time World Champion Steve Davis were at William De Ferrers school in Essex today for a Cue Zone Into Schools event.
A total of 64 children took part and competition winners picked up prizes including trophies, iTunes and WH Smith vouchers. Every child received a snooker cue and case together with a certificate and medal.
Hearn and Davis as well as head teacher Neal McGowan joined children to take part in a snooker relay team game.
Matt Cooper, on behalf of the school, said: “Cue Zone Into Schools has been a great project with a fantastic uptake by all the pupils within the school. To bring Steve Davis and Barry Hearn for the day has been an experience the children will remember for the rest of their lives.”
