Fu Replaced By Clarke In Belfast

Jamie Clarke was the highest ranked player on the Q School ranking list to accept the place in Belfast

Marco Fu has pulled out of next week’s Dafabet Northern Ireland Open, replaced by amateur Jamie Clarke.

Hong Kong’s Fu was due to face Mike Dunn on Tuesday at 10am at the Belfast Waterfront so Welshman Clarke will now take his place and the match will be played during the afternoon session on Tuesday.

Allowing Clarke to replace Fu in the draw is in line with the new Tournament Withdrawal procedure introduced on the 30 August 2017, for more details click here

The match between Jack Lisowski and Sean O’Sullivan has been moved from Monday to the 10am slot on Tuesday, allowing Lisowski time to travel to Belfast following his run to the semi-finals of the Shanghai Masters.

The event runs from November 20 to 26 with top stars including Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Allen, John Higgins and Judd Trump in action. Tickets are still available – for details click here
