Canadians Enjoy Ally Pally Trip

A group of 18 Canadian snooker fans made the trip of several thousand miles to London last week to watch the Dafabet Masters.

The visit to Alexandra Palace was organised by Snooker Canada, the Federation that promotes and develops snooker in the region.

Patrick Guigui, Founder and President of Snooker Canada, said: “These fans fulfilled a dream by watching the best players in the world compete. Most of the Canadians did not know each other before the trip as they come from all around the country, but they all met up at Alexandra Palace and will surely stay connected for years to come.

“Hopefully this will inspire groups from other countries to get together and travel to watch some events around the globe. Our people had a great time and we are already receiving requests from people around the country to do this next year. A big thank you goes out to the World Snooker team for being so accommodating and making everyone feel at home.”
